The first car rental company

In early 1896 - ten years after the invention of the automobile - the Paris Automobile Club founded the world's first car rental company. Part of the package was a chauffeur. Only very few, very well-off people could afford a car at that time and there were correspondingly few drivers. The goal of the Paris Automobile Club was not profit, but to bring the new technology closer to the people and to promote the automobile as a new means of transport.

Direct ATPI European Meeting

As part of our global network Direct ATPI, bta first visited the European meeting, which took place in Lisbon.
Representatives from different service locations reported how they survived the pandemic in their country as a travel management company and what the current challenges are with the now long-awaited strongly increasing demand of business travel.
With interesting breakout sessions and valuable individual conversations, this conference was a great success and proves how business trips can make the difference compared to virtual meetings.
